New Blog and Merry Christmas!

Hi Everybody,

First off, a gainormous MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, AND NEW YEARS! to everybody.

I’ve been working on a new site for quite some time and my present to my-self is that I am finally launching it. Check it out here:

That’s right, I’ve dispensed with the flash portfolio. I’ve done it because my photography is in a constant state of evolution… I look at my old work and think “Wow, I’ve come a long way”. So, the only real way to show you what I am currently up to is the blog. Right now I’ve only got a few featured weddings there but, as the season get going here in Costa Rica I’ll be adding more weddings.

Rachel and Dan – Osa Peninsula

Well, this is officially the last wedding of my season and it has brought me full circle to where I started. At the first wedding of the season in October of last year Melissa and Warren reminded me that life is about love and living.

Now, at the last wedding of the season, Rachel and Dan remind me that it also about our commitments, the ones we make to others and the ones we make to the act of living itself. They’ve taken a small detour on their way home from England to Australia to travel from the United States down through South America. On their journey home they’ve learned spanish and worked as volunteers in Guatemala before getting married in Costa Rica. Now, they’re traveling in South America.

There is no doubt in my mind that the best sunsets occour between April and July, check out these pictures of Staci and Christopher’s elopement in Manuel Antonio. But, it must be said, those incredible colors and textures in the sky come at a price: the “who knows if it’ll rain” season. That’s because these months are between the dry season and the… well, rainy season. But one thing is for sure, clouds in the sky make for goregeous color and texture.

Peace Lodge and Waterfall Gardens Re-Open!

On January 8 2009, a powerful earthquake shook the Poas Volacano area. A huge area was devastated and required mounting an impressive rescue operation. So, when I saw that the Waterfall Gardens had re-opened I was stoked.

10,000+ wedding pictures delivered!

I never really kept track of how many images I deliver to couples in a year so, when I saw that I had reached 10838 images in my Zenfolio proofing gallery I was kind of surprised.

By my reckoning, if I’ve delivered 10838 images then I’ve shot well over 50000 frames just this year!
